Adult Education |
Interested in delving into the details of the worship day's readings from the Bible? The Adult Bible Study is paused at present, but in the past it has met at 9:00 am from September through May. Though the discussion usually centers on the day's Bible readings, many other relevant topics are discussed, too. About twice a year, the OSLC book club meets to discuss a theological book or to watch and discuss a movie.

Community Garden |
Our Savior's Lutheran is a proud grower and caretaker of an ever-growing garden plot at the Milltown Community Garden Patch. We donate fresh produce to the River of Life Food Pantry, and host multiple Garden Harvest dinners for our church and community throughout the growing season. Our garden is helping us reconnect with God's creation, our community, as well as celebrate GOOD food!

Community Outreach
|
As Jesus Christ has blessed our lives in countless ways, we work to be a blessing to others, in turn. Our Savior's seeks to make a difference in our community. We are proud to support Habitat for Humanity and their work in providing homes for people in need. We are also a partner in Family Promise, an effort that provides housing for otherwise homeless families. Our members seek to be a presence on the University of Montana Campus for students with Emmaus Campus Ministry. We also organize food drives, events, and fundraising efforts throughout the year for ELCA World Hunger, Freedom in Christ Prison Ministry, Bonner School, Missoula Interfaith Collaborative, and others. OSLC will always welcome new ideas and partners in proclaiming the love of Jesus Christ and making our world better for all people.

Men's Breakfast
|
For close to 20 years, a group of guys who don't take themselves too seriously gather at the church every Wednesday morning at 8:00 am for a scrumptious meal and lively conversation. Jokes (good and bad!) are always shared along with plenty of laughs which help make this breakfast the highlight of the week for many. Come eat your fill and join in on the crazy stories, questions, and good ol' fashioned fellowship!

Ministry of Love
|
The Ministry of Love ministry team exists for those in the congregation who need home or hospital visits, a short conversation over the phone, rides to church, prayers, or even a birthday card. We take seriously the importance of living out community and Ministry of Love is a vital component of how we do that. OSLC is a family in Christ that cares for, supports, and helps each other in times of need.

Music |
As radio show host Garrison Keillor has said, "Lutherans are bred from childhood to sing in four-part harmony." That's what the OSLC choir does when it graces the services with its melodic sounds during the church seasons of Advent (December) and Lent (February-March). Anyone can be in the choir, which practices an hour before worship during these seasons. We are also blessed by other musical talents frequently such as: cello, guitars, bells, banjo, drums, and flute. Sharing music together in worship adds incredible life and richness to our practice. All musical gifts are embraced and encouraged!

Quilters
|
The Lutheran World Relief Quilt Campaign seeks to wrap hundreds of thousands of people worldwide with tangible symbols of God's love. Our dedicated and skilled OSLC Quilting group meets every week during the fall and winter to put together over 100 quilts that are distributed locally to the Poverello Center, and to Lutheran World Relief. Prayer quilts are also given to people facing struggles, as well as to high school and college graduates. We strive to do this mission with the intent to show God's love in our community and around the world.

Young Adult Potlucks |
Christian community forms in a huge variety of ways, often in ways that are outside of the church. Once a month, a strong community of OSLC young adults (20's and 30's) gather at different locations (it rotates) around 6pm for a meal, a time to catch p and share whatever is on their minds, and discussion that revolves around a contemporary poem. These meetings have no agenda other than getting to know and supporting one another. The group is always open to any young adult who is interested in good conversation. These are on pause at the moment also, but can be revived if there is interest.
